Borja Barrajón Acedo (Madrid, 1985) began his training as a sculptor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid in 2006. His passion for stone as an artistic medium has been reflected in a trajectory marked by dedication and innovation.
Since his early steps in national competitions and contests, Barrajón has stood out for his ability to merge sculptural tradition with a contemporary vision. Among his achievements are the first prize in sculpture Manuel Martínez Bragagnolo in 2009 and 2011, as well as recognition in the circuit of young artists in 2013.
More recently, Barrajón has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, among which the International Urban Sculpture Contest of the City of Pamplona in 2023 stands out, where he inaugurated the sculptural ensemble ‘1423’. That same year he was also awarded the Cosentino III International Sculpture Competition CAPA Prize in Madrid.
His work has been exhibited in various galleries and art fairs in Spain and abroad, receiving praise from both critics and collectors.
With individual exhibitions such as “The Identity of Form” (2017) and “The Silence of Matter” (2022), Borja Barrajón has consolidated his position as one of the most promising talents in the current artistic panorama.
Currently, Barrajón develops his work in his studio located on the outskirts of Madrid, continuing to explore the creative possibilities offered by the world of stone sculpture.
